Credit Academy Frequently Asked Questions
Fast Track:
Q: How many credits can a student earn?
A: Students can earn up to two quarter elective credits (.50).
Q: How do I register my student?
A: There is a registration form on our website.

Q: Is Fast Track Academy only for 8th graders going into 9th grade?
A: Yes! Fast Track Academy is only for incoming 9th graders.
Q: Is my student eligible to take part in the Fast Track Academy?
A: Most students are eligible for Fast Track.
Q: What classes will be offered?
A: Students will take one High School Readiness class plus two additional classes. The classes will be determined by the teachers at each site.
Q: What transportation will be provided?
A: Students will receive a bus card for Metro Transit.
Q: Will food be provided?
A: Yes! Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
Q: What if my student misses some days?
A: Because Fast Track Academy offers initial high school elective credits, it is important the student tries to attend all class periods. If a student is to miss, please contact the teacher to see if there is make-up work available.
Credit Academy:
Q: How do I register for the Credit Academy?
A: Students need to talk to their counselor to get signed up.
Q: Will classes be In-Person or Virtual?
A: Credit Academy will be In-Person Learning at Edison and South.
Q: How many credits can a student earn in Credit Academy?
A: A student can potentially earn 6 quarter credits (1.50 credits). There will be three 2-week sessions, with three classes during each session.
Q: What transportation will be provided?
A: Students will receive a bus card for Metro Transit.
Q: Will food be provided?
A: Yes! Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
Q: What if my student misses some days?
A: Because there are only 8 days per session, it is important that a student attends all days. If a student is to miss, please contact the teacher to see if there is make-up work available.
Q: If my student attends, will they earn credit?
A: A student will earn credit if they complete the work the teacher has assigned.
Q: Will all classes be synchronous for the full 90 minutes?
A: All students are expected to attend their classes. Credit Academy is a face-to-face learning opportunity for students, and, like all face-to-face classes, students will be expected to attend the classes in order to receive instruction and complete their assignments.
