Current Grades 8-12 Summer Session Programs

Current Grades 8-12 Summer Session Programs

  • We are dividing summer up into three 2-week sessions with two courses offered per session. This will still allow for the 6 quarter credits that the students had available, but with manageable courses and timeframes.
  • Students will need to complete their courses before we enroll them in additional courses.
  • Only seniors attempting to graduate this summer should be signed up for multiple quarters of the same course (i.e. English 9 Q1 and Q2).
  • Scheduling will be prioritized by graduating seniors, rising 12, rising 11, and rising 10.
  • FlexCredit Academy will be prioritizing rising 10th grade students, and will be offering a total of 3 courses for the summer (Human Geography, Intermediate Algebra, and English 9)
  • Maximum of 3 courses offered through FlexCredit Academy

DATES for the 3 Sessions:

  • Session 1: June 15-June 25
  • Session 2: June 29-July 9
  • Session 3: July 13-July23

Classes will be synchronous – which means that students will be required to attend the scheduled class daily.

  • Period 1: 9:00 – 10:00
  • Period 2: 10:00 – 11:00

Classes are Monday through Thursday.

Summer School Programming: HighSchool summer programming is designed to help students to recover courses that they have not passed in a smaller class size. Students are able to take up to 3 courses during each session of summer school. This provides the opportunity for the student to complete 3- .25 credit classes.

Students will need:

*Credit evaluation from their current school counselor.

*A signed copy of the CLP by the student, parent, and school staff, along with a Form 13, is required prior to a student being registered for course(s).

You can email the credit evaluation, completed CLP, and site preference or questions to the high school ALC team.
